United Interiors were recently asked to be part of a styling project with interior stylist extraordinaire, Melissa Lunardon! We were thrilled to work alongside Melissa to provide her with art and decor to style her clients’ bayside family home. Located in Cheltenham – not too far from our Moorabbin showroom & art gallery – this project was right up our alley!
Melissa nailed her ‘light and airy’ brief perfectly. Featuring oak timber, white and textural elements and pops of pastel colour; the home perfectly suited its young owners.
Our ‘Acquaint‘ hand painting makes a quiet statement in the dining space.
Timber tables + crisp white dining chairs = perfection!
Our ‘Tantricity 1’ canvas print was utilised in the kitchen.
The kitchen is an often neglected part of the home when it comes to adorning artwork with, yet is most likely the area of the home we spend the most time in! We love how Melissa has used a pastel coloured artwork to fill the clean, white space, and has made the artwork the new focal point in the room.
Of course, this is music to any interior designer’s ears – the clients didn’t want to keep any of their existing furniture in their new home! The furniture chosen by Melissa are obviously inspired by the clients’ love of the Scandi trend. The result is a gorgeous, timeless aesthetic that adds an element of maturity and finesse to their living spaces. The use of oak timing, white furniture, simple clean lines creates an understated and relaxed vibe in their new home.
Melissa received the project brief from her clients (a young couple expecting a baby in the new year) and got to work specifying furniture, artwork and homewares for the new family home. We were very excited to assist – providing artworks to compliment the space and a few decorative pieces from our showroom. We are so thrilled to see the finished project photographed beautifully by Kate Hansen from The Room Illuminated, and are so glad to be a part of the young couple’s new home that shows their personality so perfectly.
Our ‘Japanese Garden’ hand painting hangs perfectly in the open plan living area, adding a hint of pink and minty hues to the clean colour palette.
Thank you again to Melissa Lunardon for inviting us to be a part of this project!
