Pantone has revealed a zesty shade of green as its colour of the year for 2017.
Named ‘Greenery’, it is described by Pantone as a “tangy yellow-green” often seen in foliage.
The colour of the year for 2017 is a “a symbolic colour selection; a colour snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.”
We are enjoying the refreshing tone, which speaks to our need to explore, experiment and reinvent. Greenery is like a breath of fresh air and one that will be naturally incorporated into many homes (just add a pot plant!).
Many stylists are interpreting the concept of greenery, and using the colour sparingly, rather than embracing this particular hue in our homes. It is quite a stunning shade, and while we may not be painting our walls green and buying a green couch – we can definitely appreciate the vibrant splash of colour it can add to a space.
Apart from just adopting a green fern and house plants, you can also add a touch of Greenery to your walls by incorporating this zesty shade into your artwork!
